DevOps & Platform Engineer
Run the infrastructure under products that are in use while you are changing them — deployments, monitoring, backups, and the restore you hope stays theoretical.

- Full-time
What the work is
Build and operate the infrastructure our products run on: environments, deployment pipelines, monitoring and alerting, backups, and the restores that prove the backups work. These systems are in use during business hours by businesses that cannot pause, so a maintenance window is negotiated rather than declared and a migration is planned around somebody else’s Friday.
The other half is making the work here easier: builds that finish, environments that resemble production, and less ceremony between a merged change and it being live. There is no separate operations team to escalate to at two in the morning — the rotation includes whoever holds this job, and that is part of the offer rather than a footnote.
What we look for
Practical experience running production systems on Linux: containers, CI/CD, a cloud provider, and enough PostgreSQL to reason about a slow query and to carry out a restore under time pressure. Infrastructure described in code rather than remembered.
Judgement about how much platform a company this size should have. Most of the harm this role can do comes from building an operational surface larger than the people who have to keep it running; the rest comes from postponing the work until an outage decides the priorities instead.
How to apply
Describe an outage you were part of — what broke, how you found it, and what you changed afterwards. The account of the aftermath tells us more than a list of tools.
Apply for this role
Write to us with what you have built and what you would want to work on here. We read everything and reply either way.
